Industry 4.0 is the high-tech strategy of the German government; the concept is to implement the computerization used in traditional industries in factories. The goal is to establish the automation system to achieve the Smart Factory. It integrates the technologies of legacy automation infrastructure, Internet of Things, and nternet of Service to make the cyber-physical system. It can link manufacturing, enterprise, logistics, and supply chain to optimize the performance and to save cost and energy. It needs features, for instance, rich communication interfaces, IP-based architecture, and high computing capability. The traditional controller like PLC cannot satisfy such requirements, and the PC-based system will be the perfect choice because these features are the basic benefits of PC technology.

As a result, GEMOTECH Factory Automation Solution is a fully IP-based automation system which is compatible with legacy control networks using PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, and EtherCAT interfaces. GEMOTECH is also the technical partner of 3S German. We consolidate CODESYS control algorithm to provide a control kernel similar to Schneider, ABB, BECKHOFF, and B&R. Users can easily seamlessly integrate GEMOTECH’s smart factory solution into their existing factory automation applications or new projects. Also, GEMOTECH’s solution has the same high reliability as the major control system vendors. However, we offer more options, more flexibility, and cost effective products to users.

GEMOTECH’s solution is compatible with fieldbus protocols. In other words, users can use the IO system from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and BECKHOFF, or other compatible IO modules. If users need a total solution, GEMOTECH offers VIPA’s SLIO systems to meet the remote I/O requirement. The VIPA SLIO has high speed backplane bus. The compact size design saves the installation space. The removable I/O block docking station design is easy to maintain and replace. Also, the VIPA SLIO system is available with PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, and MODBUS couplers. It can be integrated in GEMOTECH’s NIFE PC-based controller to form a completed control station and be compatible with fieldbus networks.

With these technology alliances, NEXCOM’s solution can easily integrates various fieldbus protocols onto one system and share the data with different control and enterprise networks, Cloud. It can establish a smart and fully IP-based factory to help users to achieve the goal of intelligent Industry 4.0 complaint factory.
